Understanding the character's journey is essential for bringing them to life authentically on screen, this is one of the things that me and other former actors had to imply in order to get a better resulting film/scenes.
Depending on the production, some actors may participate in rehearsals with the director and fellow cast members to explore scenes and develop chemistry, rehearsals also allow actors to experiment with different approaches and establish a vision for the film.
One goal that I wanted to achieve was to really immerse myself in my character, I had to conduct some research and draw from personal experiences to add depth and authenticity to the scenes.
Filming a movie involves navigating various technical elements, such as camera angles, lighting, and blocking. Actors must adapt to the physical constraints of the set while maintaining focus, which was something that I had to get use to very quick, because I'm not a professional actor, at first it was hard to act normally with a camera pointing at me in an awkward angle but eventually it got easier.
