FILMING SCENE (#3) PART2

This is another video with the same scene, both are bloopers because i kept stuttering and laughing and not finishing the sentence.  (this statement was supposed to be funny please laugh)

FILMING SCENE (#3)

this is one of my personal talking scenes where I'm informing detective Merlyn about the dead body and ask for him to arrive to the scene.

FINDING DEAD BODY SCENE

In this scene two of the detectives found the victim's corpse making it official that there is a dead body in the school, we also had to re-do this scene because as you can clearly see my baggy pants are falling down (i forgot my belt)

FILMING SCENE

This was one of our scenes examples that we had to refilm a few times to get it right.

This scene showcases our first victim of our film making it an important one.

Acting Skills

Understanding the character's journey is essential for bringing them to life authentically on screen, this is one of the things that me and other former actors had to imply in order to get a better resulting film/scenes.

Depending on the production, some actors may participate in rehearsals with the director and fellow cast members to explore scenes and develop chemistry, rehearsals also allow actors to experiment with different approaches and establish a vision for the film.

One goal that I wanted to achieve was to really immerse myself in my character, I had to conduct some research and draw from personal experiences to add depth and authenticity to the scenes.

Filming a movie involves navigating various technical elements, such as camera angles, lighting, and blocking. Actors must adapt to the physical constraints of the set while maintaining focus, which was something that I had to get use to very quick, because I'm not a professional actor, at first it was hard to act normally with a camera pointing at me in an awkward angle but eventually it got easier.

POINT 4

 Advertising:

The title plays a vital role in marketing and promoting the movie. It's shown in trailers, posters, advertisements, and other things, serving as a hook to get audience interest and generate anticipation for the film's release. A catchy or memorable title which in this case is "Haunted Memories" can help the movie stand out in a crowded marketplace and attract audiences.

POINT 3

 Creative Expression:

Ultimately, the choice of a movie title is a creative decision that reflects the vision, style, and artistic sensibilities of the creators. It's an opportunity to really get the scent of the film in a few words and leave a lasting impression on audiences. We drew inspiration from various sources, including dialogue from the film, literary references, symbolism, or wordplay, to craft a title that was capturing to the imagination and curiosity of viewers.

POINT 2

 Cultural and Emotional:

A movie's title can bring certain emotions, associations, or cultural references that resonate with audiences. We try to choose a title that reflects the film's central themes, characters, or setting, creating a sense of intrigue and connection for viewers. A well-crafted title can give audiences curiosity, anticipation, or excitement, drawing them into the world of the film.

POINT 1

Branding:

For viewers, a movie's title frequently serves as their initial point of contact. It is the main characteristic that sets the movie apart from others and contributes to building its personality and brand. A cleverly selected title can draw in the intended audience by effectively communicating the movie's tone, genre, and main idea.

POINTS IN CREATING THE NAME OF OUR MOVIE

The title of a movie is a crucial element to the movie's identity, as creators, we wanted to get a name/title that really spoke to the audience about the type of movie that they were going to watch, give hints about the plot, and overall stand out to people.

the title of a movie is a crucial element for marketing, and creative expression. It's a powerful tool that you can use to engage audiences, communicate the essence of their film, and leave a lasting impact in the minds of viewers.

now I'm going to be elaborating in different points our reasoning in choosing the title HAUNTED MEMORIES.

MY PROJECT'S SYPNOSIS HAUNTED MEMORIES (FILM)

The members of the short film Haunted Memories are Joshua Perez, Kevian Asprilla, Woodson Merlin, and Evan Sanabria. Detective Murlyn is the primary character in this short psychological thriller. Due to his troubled past and extensive childhood trauma, Detective Murlyn has unknowingly adopted two different personalities.
Ironically, he has two personalities: Detective Murlyn and mass murderer. He is then assigned to investigate his own killings. At this point, he begins pursuing himself with Carlos, his partner who also comes from a difficult background. until you eventually discover that he is the murderer.

GROUP DECISION MAKING (MOVIE THEME/GENRE)

  1. My group had some brainstorming sessions where everyone in the group contributed ideas, these sessions can be structured or informal, allowing for more free creativity, as ideas are tossed around, we identified common interests or themes that resonated with everyone in the group. Some of the topics that my teammates were passionate about were, societal issues that we might've wanted to discuss, or genres that we enjoy.

  2. After narrowing down potential themes, we conducted research to gather more information and inspiration, we watched films, try to study real-life events, and analyzed trends in popular culture.

  3. Eventually, we reached an agreement on the theme that felt right for our movie that we wanted to create. This involved compromises and adjustments to accommodate different perspectives within the group.

  4. Once we choose on a theme, we worked to define it clearly. This involves stating the central idea or message that the movie conveys and ensuring that all aspects of the story align with the theme.

PROJECT MOVIE THEME CHOOSEN

My team decided on the theme psychological thriller because of the personal interest in psychological thrillers of all of us. this theme often explores complex characters, intricate plots, and suspenseful narratives, which can be really entertaining for both creators and audiences.

  1. Psychological thrillers go into the depths of the human psyche, exploring themes such as identity, perception, memory, and morality. We were drawn to the opportunity to explore psychological complexities and challenge audience expectations through their storytelling.

  2. This theme has the potential to bring up intense emotions and keep audiences on the edge of their seats which is why we were motivated to create an interesting experience for viewers, showing fear, suspense, and intrigue through the film's psychological elements.

The psychological thriller genre offers creators of movies room for creativity and innovation. With its focus on mind tension and mind games, creators have the flexibility to experiment with, unreliable narrators, and plot twists that keep audiences guessing until the end.

thrillers like this often reflect societal anxieties and cultural trends, providing creators with an opportunity to explore contemporary issues in an engaging manner. Creators may be inspired to craft a narrative that relates with current societal concerns or explores universal themes in a different light.

Overall, the choice to create a psychological thriller for a movie was from a variety of factors like, personal interests, creative aspirations, and the desire to engage audiences with a gripping and intellectually story.
